Fanart is always a huge seller, so if you drew popular characters in a more Western style, and sold prints, I think you'd do ok. Original art/comics only seem to sell to other artists, and even then they don't do that well, so I wouldn't be discouraged if those move slowly. I've found that little things, like charms and buttons, sell well, so if you plaster those with your art, I think you'll do ok. I'd start at a really small anime con, to test the waters.Becca Hillburnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07105718152078435585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-794518577624287475.post-75553925989976352732012-05-29T18:49:21.895-05:002012-05-29T18:49:21.895-05:00I actually have a question for you that's only...I actually have a question for you that's only tangentially related to this post. There seems to be a lot of manga art leaking over into the comic con world, but is there a place for more Western style comics at anime convention artist alleys? I've always loved going to anime conventions but I don't think my style suits them, so I'm not sure if it would be worth the investment to get an artist table there. Thoughts?Joan Cookehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14999210279173628078noreply@blogger.com
